Christine Wheaton

After graduating from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, I set out starting my company Femme Akoi. I used "Femme", for obvious reasons, meaning "woman" in french and alluding to Femme Fatal, and "Akoi" which is a popular Japanese surname that I chose to reference my Asian background. Plus, I think it sounds sexy and mysterious!

I combine my love for art and a passion for style to create the best makeup application possible. I have been working in the cosmetics industry for over 10 years. Employed by many of the major makeup companies, such as MAC cosmetics and Stila, I became certified in beauty and runway makeup application.Currently I am freelancing in a variety of mediums such as print, film, fashion, special events, and weddings.

I do have a special interest in Bridal makeup. It is always fun to be a part of the hub bub of the big day. I enjoy working with the bride to create her perfect look. Each bride will get a consultation to ensure her vision is fully duplicated (pictures are helpful and appreciated!). I get especially excited if the Bride has a theme or era in mind, so if that is the case, I'm your girl! I will ensure that the Bride will look her best in person, in photographs, and video. I am also extremely knowledgeable about proper skin care and can perform day-of skin treatments if needed. I use mostly MAC products for their long lasting abilities and high pigmented color but am not limited to them. I have many other companies such as Nars, Stila, Make-Up Forever, Bobbi Brown, Ben Nye and more in my kit.

Tu es jolie! (you are beautiful!)
